Dear Friends worldwide,
We would like to share with you a talk on meditation given by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche at Bodhicharya Kent.
Rinpoche explains that meditation is actually quite an elaborate subject but he explains that actually it comes down to one thing:
“We usually think that how things are, what is happening all around us in our life, what we have, what we don’t have, that all these things are the main thing in life.
But if we look a little bit deeply, that’s not quite right.
Rich people have their own problems.
Poor people have their own problems.
Powerful people have their own problems.
The most famous people have their own problems.
All kinds of people have their own problems.
When we solve one problem, another one comes. When we solve two problems, sometimes three come.
So if that is the life, is there any other way?
So this is where the practice of meditation, the practice of dharma, becomes relevant and important.
So therefore the whole idea or understanding is ‘how I experience’. Where I focus my mind. How peaceful I feel. How satisfied I feel. How joyful I feel. How good or bad I feel. All this is basically based on where I focus my mind……….”
Wishing you all a joyful, happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.

Thank you for this timely reminder. I wish you a blessed time over the holiday period. ཀམ་ནོར་བུ Karma Norbu.
Thanks for this Margaret. As Rinpoche says, problems are not confined to a particular class of people. All the best to you in the coming year.
